10-Hour OSHA General Industry Training: TR - 001
Course Length: 10 Hours
The 10-hour program is intended to provide a variety of training on General Industry safety and health standard for workers. The 10-hour class is designed to be presented to workers and places an emphasis on hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, and the OSHA standards that apply.
Required Course Topics:
- Introduction to OSHA standards – 2 Hours
- OSH Act
- General Duty Clause 5 (a) (1)
- Inspections, citations, and penalties (CFR Part 1903)
- Recordkeeping (CFR Part 1904)
- Walking and working surfaces, subpart D – 1 Hour
- Exit Routes, emergency action plans, fire prevention plans, and fire protection, subparts E & L – 1 Hour
- Electrical, subpart S – 1 Hour
- Personal protective equipment – 1 Hour
Elective Topics - Choose 4:
- Hazard communication, subpart Z – 1 Hour
- Lockout/tagout, subpart J – 1 Hour
- Machine guarding, subparts O – 1 Hour
- Personal protective equipment, subpart I – 1 Hour
- Permit-required confined spaces, subpart J – 1 Hour
- Safety and health programs – 1 Hour
- Welding, cutting, and brazing, subpart Q – 1 Hour
- Flammable and combustible liquids, subpart H – 1 Hour
- Hand and portable power tools, subpart P – 1 Hour
- Housekeeping, 29 CFR 1910.22(a) – 1 Hour
- Introduction to industrial hygiene/bloodborne pathogens, subpart Z - 1 Hour
The employee is tested to determine understanding and knowledge of the requirements. A test grade of 80% is required for successful completion.
