30-Hour OSHA General Industry Training: TR - 002
Course Length: 30 Hours
The 30-hour program is intended to provide a variety of training to people with safety responsibility. The course will cover the various OSHA standards applicable to the employers’ workplace and job hazards. The course will relate how the OSHA standards affect the employer’s workplace and employee safety.

- Introduction to OSHA standards – 4 Hours
- OSH Act
- General Duty Clause 5 (a) (1)
- Inspections, citations, and penalties (CFR Part 1903)
- Recordkeeping, 29 CFR Part 1904
- Walking and working surfaces, subpart D – 2 Hours
- Exit Routes, emergency action plans, fire prevention plans, and fire protection, subparts E & L – 2 Hours
- Electrical, subpart S – 2 Hours
Elective/Selected Topics:
- Flammable and combustible liquids, subpart H – 1 Hour
- Hand and portable power tools, subpart P – 1 Hour
- Hazard communication, subpart Z – 3 Hours
- Housekeeping, 29 CFR 1910.22(a) – 1 Hour
- Introduction to industrial hygiene/bloodborne pathogens, subpart Z – 2 Hours
- Lockout/tagout, subpart J – 2 Hours
- Machine guarding, subparts O – 2 Hours
- Permit-required confined spaces, subpart J – 3 Hours
- Personal protective equipment, subpart I – 2 Hours
- Safety and health programs – 2 Hours
- Welding, cutting, and brazing, subpart Q – 1 Hour
The employee is tested to determine understanding and knowledge of the requirements. A test grade of 80% is required for successful completion.
