4-Hour AHA CPR/AED Training: TR-043
Course Length: 4 hours
CPR is one of the most important skills a person will ever learn. Using CPR one rescuer, alone, can save a life. The brain begins to die in four to six minutes after the heart stops. In most cases, 911 is not going to be at the victim’s side that quickly. CPR keeps the brain alive until additional help arrives. With bystander CPR being started immediately, advanced care has a much better chance of reviving an intact person.
However, CPR alone is not the complete answer. With the addition of AED training the victim’s chances of survival increase dramatically. Even if your company does not currently own an automated external defibrillator (AED), they are available in most public places. Shopping malls, airports, tourist attractions, and many stores are just a partial list of places that now have AEDs for use by any trained rescuer. Everyone taking a CPR course should also be AED trained.
Each class includes complete training in:
- Adult and child CPR
- Adult and child AED
- Adult and child Choking
- Use barrier cevices
- Optional infant training
