4-Hour First Aid: TR-044

Course Length: 4 hours

Many businesses provide First Aid training for their employees. In some cases the training is provided simply because of its importance. Other times it is provided to meet OSHA or MSHA requirements. Whatever the reason, Safety Training and Consulting can meet your needs.

The American Heart Association First Aid Course is designed to cover the first five minutes of a workplace emergency.

First aid includes segments on:

• Legal issues
• Approaching the patient
• Finding and treating numerous Injuries
• Recognizing and treating a wide variety of medical emergencies
• Treating environmental injuries such as bites and stings

Taught separately, first aid is a four hour class. However, it is usually taught in conjunction with CPR/AED. This provides the most complete training, and fulfills all of your OSHA/MSHA CPR and first aid requirements. The classes can be scheduled as a full day, or split into separate days.

Each student receives:

• An American Heart Association First Aid Student Manual
• An American Heart Association First Aid card good for two years

As with all our CPR and First Aid courses, all training materials and audiovisual equipment needed to teach the class are provided by Safety Training and Consulting. Classes are scheduled at your convenience, and your location. Classes are fun and include hands on training and practice.
