8-Hour Vehicle Mounted Rotating Work Platforms (Bucket Truck): TR-051
Course Length: 8 Hours
Classroom Time: 4 Hours
Practical Evaluations: Approximately 30 to 45 minutes per employee
(Inexperienced/Experienced Operators)
The classroom portion is designed to cover the OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.67 and ANSI/SIA: A92.5-2001 for Bucket Trucks and includes:
- Hazards of bucket truck operation
- Fall protection requirements
- Operator responsibilities
- Workplace hazards
- Safe operation
- Inspection
- Written test
The practical exercises includes:
- Pre-operational inspection.
- Practical evaluation in which each employee operates the equipment through a pre-designed course.
- Evaluation of training (Examples: peers, instructor, coaches, etc.)
NOTE: All operators are required to be assessed by proficiency testing, which includes practical application exercises at your facility/work site.
