Bulldozers: TR-055
Course Length: 8 Hours
Classroom Time: 4 Hours
Practical Evaluations: Approximately 30 minutes per employee
(Inexperienced/Experienced Operators)
The classroom portion is designed to cover the OSHA standard(s) for bulldozers and includes:
- Hazards of bulldozer operation
- Operator responsibilities
- Workplace hazards
- Safe operation
- Inspection
- Fueling
- Different types of dozers and attachments
- Written test
The practical exercises includes:
- Pre-operational inspection of the bulldozer
- Practical evaluation in which each employee operates the bulldozer through a pre-designed course.
- Evaluation of training (Examples: peers, instructor, coaches, etc.)
Learning tools include audio visual instruction, handouts and discussion.
